On Friday, June 19, 2026, Summer Solstice Celebration and Ceremony – Sixty UUSDers, youth, community members, and UUs from other congregations gathered in a circle on Savannah Beach in Lewes to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Through drumming, calling in the light, and holding one another in community, we marked the turning of the season with gratitude and joy. As an act of release and renewal, cornmeal was offered to the fire, symbolizing the burdens we were ready to let go. Together, we honored the beauty of Mother Earth and the connections that sustain us. Heartfelt thanks to Greer and her team for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience on a beautiful summer evening.
