On Saturday, June 20, about 10 UUSDers marched in the Juneteenth Parade in Georgetown. Our presence has been noticed and appreciated every year. Our group convened behind the Brick Hotel at 10 a.m. The parade went from the Georgetown Circle to the Richard C. Allen Community Center (about one mile). We had members up front with the two person wide parade banner and the large flaming chalice on the van in the back and many UUSD tee shirts. Following the parade, a celebration was held with entertainment, food, and vendors.
