Becoming a Member

To become a Member, a person signs our UUSD Membership Book signifying their belief in the purpose and mission of UUSD and makes a formal commitment to support UUSD with their time, talent and treasure.

Some of the additional privileges and responsibilities of Members include having a vote on all congregation-wide issues, the ability to hold elected positions, receiving the UU World magazine, and being eligible to represent UUSD at local and national events.

As a Member of UUSD, you will be part of a caring community of people who welcome you and affirm your worth and dignity. We invite you to get involved in ways that both nourish you spiritually and challenge you to give of yourself for others. We welcome you and the unique gifts you bring.

Friends of UUSD

An integral part of the UUSD Community, Friends identify with our faith and Values and are welcome to participate in and contribute their time, talent and treasure to various teams, committees, programs, and activities. From this active involvement, deep interpersonal relationships are formed.

Friends are included in and have access to our UUSD online directory, Breeze.

Although not on the voter registry, Friends are invited and encouraged to attend and contribute their ideas in all congregational meetings.

As Friends become more involved in our beloved community, they may want to make a strong commitment; if that time arises, they are encouraged to contact the Membership Team at membership@uussd.org or our Congregational Administrator at admin@uussd.org to become a Member.
