STILL WATER SUMMER CAMP DETAILS
Still Water Summer Camp is a values-centered, joy-filled summer experience designed for children entering 1st through entering 8th grades. Campers are placed in age-based groups, each led by caring adult counselors and junior counselors, with group sizes intentionally kept small (approximately 5–10 children) to foster connection, belonging, and age-appropriate learning.
Program & Setting
Camp will be held in 2026 on the campus of the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware (UUSD) in Lewes. Days are thoughtfully balanced with:
- Outdoor games and nature-based activities
- Creative art projects
- Plenty of time for free play
- Intentional, values-based learning woven throughout the day
Much of our curriculum happens within age-similar groups, allowing children to engage deeply with peers while building friendships and confidence.
Leadership & Community
Still Water Summer Camp is organized and directed by Dr. Heather Hamilton, UUSD’s Children’s Faith Exploration Director. One of the great strengths of the camp is the strong volunteer presence from the UUSD community, alongside youth serving as junior counselors. This structure not only supports campers but also provides meaningful leadership development opportunities for young people.

Tuition & Scholarships
We believe that spiritual education and values-based summer experiences are just as important as sports or specialty camps. Our pricing reflects the quality and care of the program while remaining mindful of family circumstances.
- $125 for the first child
- $75 for each additional child
- Lunch is provided by families
- UUSD provides snacks, juice, art materials, games, and camp lanyards
Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis, and families are encouraged to reach out confidentially if financial support would make participation possible.
Safety & Care
All adult volunteers are background-checked and are regular volunteers at UUSD. Still Water Summer Camp follows all UUSD Safer Congregation protocols, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for every child.

There are TWO easy steps to sign up. Please note, all three steps are necessary to attend the course.

2) Submit payment online by clicking here. Payment by check, with “SWSC” in the memo line, can be mailed to UUSD, 30486 Lewes Georgetown Hwy., Lewes, DE 19958 or dropped off during Sunday service.
